EXODUS

«The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. William Faulkner »
Exodus
is a visual narrative of an allegorical story, combined from 10 night photographs created by a camera in motion, images having no other alterations but only in colour and size. These in camera photographs, narrate the mystical life of a Woman, from her dream conception and her transformations in life,to her unseen feeling internality, her ends and her new beginnings, a mystical journey in the circle of her life.
Exodus is created by the need to create impressionism like paintings through photography, and after a lot of work and experiments, I have managed, by the use of a camera in motion, to have a painting photograph result, depicting the surreality in reality, the unseen through everyday life, the energy among us, and have these unique art works, made entirely in and with a digital camera.
The essence of the technique I have developed - movism- derives from the need to capture dreams in everyday life, without the use of modern technology. It is still a work in progress so as to reach the desired result of combining photography and painting, true life and dream life, feelings and thinkings, so as with just a camera to have not only reality, but also innality and surreality depicted.
