KINISI / MOVISMOS

Kinisi  (Μοvismos), describes the in camera move technique in Photography, by using a camera in motion, without any digital manipulation systems. The aesthetic result is photographic paintings, rich in colour, imagination and thinking. In this collection all images are night Photographs taken entirely in camera, with the move technique, having no alterations. They are all an inner travel, and they stand as depictions of fantasy, of surrealism in realism, as images of the unseenIf we could have images of our dreams, how would they look like, is the question asked, with this body of work, and this collection stands as a colourful answer.

Kinisi has three collection of works:

1- Fos collection:

Fos is an ongoing series of work, where light and night meet. This collection of 10 night Photographs , depicts a city and its people in a festive night. The architectural images are coming from the need to find new ways of depicting the obvious, whereas the images of people derive from the need to represent them as work of arts, implementing the way of estrangement.

2- Exodus collection:

Ancient warriors, history, epic fights all deriving from modernity, have their place in our lifes, as we all carry them inside. This collection tries to become an answer to the so difficult question ‘Can we photograph imagination, dreams....?.
